Visiting our Festival

Here's some practical information to help plan your visit.  If there is anything else you'd like to know, please contact us.

Directions

We're only 15 miles north of Bristol, easily accessible from the M5.

GL13 9DX or what3words ///ears.earphones.dusters

Parking

There is plenty of free car parking.  It's a short walk around the church to get to the gate.

Why not cycle?

We're only a couple of miles from Thornbury.  Leave the car at home and enjoy a ride up the quiet lanes.  Feel good by parking right by the gate and enjoy the beer!

Accessibility

We want our festival to be inclusive and welcoming to all.  The field is suitable for wheelchairs although it is a bit bumpy in places.  We can reserve parking by the gate. If there's anything we can do to help with your visit contact us here.

No Dogs

Please leave 4-legged friends at home. Guide dogs are welcome of course.

Timings

Gates open at 1.30pm.  Here are the approximate timings for the main stage acts.

2.00  Karen Pfeiffer and Paul Walker

3.20  Yara

4.30  Kitty Stewart and Rohan Black

5.50  The Schmoozenbergs

7.00  Bavarian All-Stars

Dunavon Dance and Mundi Dance will be performing between the acts. Plus our very own Highland bagpiper, Andy Wolf.

Food and Drink

As the festival opens there will be home-made local cookies, tea and cake. There will be strawberries grown in the village and ice cream too.

Then good value meal options from Fabioni's with vegetarian and vegan options.

Bar open all afternoon with beer and cider brewed locally as well as Pimms, wine, soft drinks and snacks.

Our licence does not allow you to bring your own alcohol on to the site so please don't try to do that.

Drinks Beakers

We won't use single-use plastics at the bar.  We have sturdy, branded beakers that you can use all afternoon for £2 then take it home as a souvenir.  Or bring your own beaker or the one you got last year!

Weather

The sun always shines in Rockhampton!  But if it doesn't the festival will go ahead whatever the weather.  There is some limited covered seating but if it looks like rain, bring waterproofs and wellies.  We may need to change the acts or timings in the event of very bad weather.

Sun Shelters

We want everybody to be able to see the stage so we’d prefer it if you bring rugs and folding chairs.  We have some marquee space where you can sit in the shade or take a break from the sun.  If you want to put up a small sun shelter that’s OK but please keep it to the rear or sides of the audience space so as not to block the view. You can get an idea of the set up by looking at the gallery.

Activities

There'll be free dance and music participation workshops during the afternoon where you can meet the artists.  For all ages.  More information on the day.
