Vocal Global
An exotic musical journey from across the world
Vocal Global mix influences from their origins in the Middle East and French-Caribbean with other music they love such as African, Brazilian, Jazz and more. The result crosses borders and carries a strong message of cultural celebration.
David X a unique talent from France, is a “one-man band”. He has practised beat-boxing for 20 years and mastered all of the possibilities offered by the voice. He imitates talking drums, congas, darbuka, tabla, brass, bass and the list goes on ! David also builds his own instruments - electro-acoustic prototypes which are a mix of guitar, violin and percussion. The magic appears when David blends his vocal mastery with simultaneously playing the violin, guitar, loop station and dancing!
Noga Ritter is a singer-song writer, keyboard player and a workshop leader. Originally from Israel, she has lived in Europe for the last few years; studyng BA at London Center of Contemporary Music and MA at Guildhall School of Music and Drama. She sings in Hebrew and English as well as Wolof, Arabic, Zulu and other languages in her songs you hear the influences of a variety of different countries and cultures. Her lyrics are meaningful and emotional, ranging from personal stories to political messages- backed up with eclectic grooves, of course!
